Tash Iotua

Tash Iotua

Team leader / Kaiarahi

He uri tēnei no Te Rarawa, Waikato, Ngāi terangi, Ngāti Kahungunu, Wiwi, Koroatia me Hapani

Ko Tash ahau.

I embrace the four winds of my tupuna, that allow me to be me.

My mahi is within the Whaanau Resilience kaupapa – Family Violence, Sexual Harm.
I work with the whaanau as a whole meaning, intergenerational, the survivor and the tangata that may have lost their way a bit.
I am there to listen to our whaanau voice, hear that whaanau voice and in some cases advocate on behalf of that whaanau.
I mahi with whaanau that have been lost in the system, I mahi with whaanau that have been burnt by the system.
I am there to support the whaanau on their journey, not lead or show or push them but walk alongside them.
I know that not all whaanau are ready for their journey, but just knowing that someone is there for them can indeed make a world of difference.
I mahi within Tamaki Makaurau and regard this mahi as an alternative to the tick box westminster kaupapa that most of our whaanau have been there, done that and were deterred.

I also co facilitate 2 groups, one for our waahine currently based in Pukekohe and one for our taane in Manukau and one on one tangata sessions and work alongside like minded and trusted kaimahi with a vast range of knowledge in Te Hononga o Tamaki me Hoturoa and throughout the rohe.

Mena ka taea e au, ki te kore e taea ka rapu tahi tātou. If I can, I will, if I can’t then we search together.
